What courses do we teach?
1- American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) CPR/AED & Basic First Aid for the Community and Workplace, which follows the 2010 ILCOR/AHA/ARC Guidelines.
Who is the target audience for our classes?
Persons who are occupationally required (our employees) or just desire to have CPR/AED/First Aid knowledge and skills, such as office workers, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, teachers, parents, and babysitters.
Who should NOT take our classes?
Healthcare providers, first responders, and professional rescuers in and outside the hospital or those needing professional level basic life support training as a job requirement. We do NOT teach AHA Healthcare Provider/BLS Pro level classes. We do NOT teach ACLS/PALS classes. Also, our courses do NOT have the EMSA certified stickers required for some daycare workers.
BRC employees who certify with an outside agency:
Please call the office before you take the class to make sure the program is acceptable. We do NOT accept online-only courses! If you take an online-only course, you will be required to take another course that includes an instructor-led, hands on portion of the class. Also, we do not accept all programs- some do not meet our standards. So please call us!

When you sign up, you'll need to say that you are a Private Pay student. This is for anyone who is not going to be a Respite Care Provider for BRC, including client families and RCP families/friends. CPR is $45 and FA is $40 for non-Respite Care Providers. If you take CPR and FA in one day, the price is $75. You need to pay in advance to hold your spot, either by check or cash. |
