Families Looking for a Respite Care Provider
We always have families that are in need of new Respite Care Providers. Below is a list of these families; they are divided according to what area they live in. The North Bay Board covers Solano and the lower Napa counties. The Sonoma Board covers Sonoma and upper Napa counties. The East Bay Board covers Contra Costa and Alameda counties, and the Marin Board covers Marin county.
If you see a family whose information you would like, please call a Program Coordinator at (707) 644-4491. We are using the clients' UCI number as their ID's, so be prepared to give it to the Program Coordinator. If there is no UCI number listed, then you can use the birthdate. The Program Coordinator will let you know if the family is still looking, and if s/he thinks you would be a good match with the family, the Program Coordinator will then send you the client notes.
The listed schedules might not be the most current as the office is not always informed of changes in the desired respite schedule by the families. If you contact the family and find this to be true, please let the office know of the new schedule.
How to read the board: UCI is the client's ID number. B-Dday stands for birthdate, and City is where the client lives. Schedule is when the family needs their respite. Sp will be checked if the family speaks only Spanish. SB will be checked if there are siblings in the household. You will find a variety of information under the NOTES section. What kind of information will be here? Things like dogs or cats in the house, if lifting over 30 lbs is required, if the client has a special pay rate, or if the family would prefer a RCP of a particular gender, etc. Also, if a client is an Elder/Adult with Special Needs, it will be noted in this section.
