Respite From The Heart 2011

July 4th Parade

This year we combined the Vallejo July 4th parade with Respite From The Heart.  Why?  Because of the heinous budget cuts.  Our float was a mobile protest- a voice for the disabled population to let people know that Community Services are vital to our livelihoods.  The day started off at City Park in Vallejo with an In-Service Training.  We then held our Award Ceremony and a brown bag lunch for our RCPs and guests.  We finished the day with the parade.  We had the largest float in the parade- over 70 protesters!  Thank you to everyone who participated!!
